Perturbations in the natural order have torn the fabric of the space-time continuum, and weird growths are seeping into our world - perhaps from our own future. Several such growths have been recorded in images featured on this page, and the associated videos that can be found on the xcircle platform.
They have been dubbed "PlastoCorals" and show a very wide variety of forms and colors, each PlastoCoral being unique. They all seem to be an odd mixture of various types of plastic garbage animated by coral animals: rubber duckies, bottles, forks and spoons, straws, flip-flops, etc.
Although often colorful and attractive, viewers should beware of potential side effects of co-habiting with them. It is unclear how the plastics are becoming incorporated into living systems, and what effects these coral-plastic symbioses will have on the larger ecosystems, especially on animals all along the foodchain - up to human beings - who feed off of sea flora and fauna.
